Take a look at all of the wonderful people who were inspired to make a difference through Spark Your Heart!

Appearance at Redmond Ridge QFC to raise funds for the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization through candy sales, as well as hold a Hopelink food drive!

A Hopelink food drive was held throughout the month of December in 2017 at the Re/Max location in Sammamish, WA. Over 40 pounds of food and toiletries were collected thanks to a generous community!

This service opportunity was by far one of Jillian's favorites: Visiting patients at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital on December 28th, 2012 as your Miss Washington International 2013. Jillian had the opportunity to meet patients of all ages and abilities and give them crowns of their own!

Bonding with the patients and getting to know their stories was so rewarding!

The doctors and nurses wanted crowns, too!

The donations made to Hopelink brought in 37 pounds of food for our local community!

Redmond High School's Child Psychology teacher, Heather Chadwick, partnered with Spark Your Heart to have her classes donate toys to Seattle Children's Hospital in 2013. Look at all of the items they donated!

The patients loved receiving crowns from Jillian!

This was also the experience that solidified Jillian's decision to work toward her Child Life Specialist Certification, as well as pursue her current career at Seattle Children's Hospital working on an inpatient unit!

We even got to meet a group of children on our way out of the hospital who wanted to meet Miss Washington 2013 and receive crowns as well!

Christian's 30th Birthday Party

Build-a-Bear Donation!

Many of our donations were teddy bears...

The community was curious about our fundraiser and decided to get involved to donate stuffed animals!

Christian chose to hold a Build-a-Bear fundraiser for his 30th birthday. All of the stuffed animals were donated to Seattle Children's Hospital!

But we got to choose all sorts of animals to donate to the kids!

Redmond High School students in Ms. Raji's Spanish class partnered with Spark Your Heart to write letters in Spanish and donate items for care packages for Spanish-speaking military personnel overseas!

Look how creative this pop-up card is!

Every student had the opportunity to practice their Spanish skills through writing letters!

Care packages contained requested items, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, shaving cream, and candy bars, among various other necessities!

Spark Your Heart partnered with anysoldier.com to make this act of kindness a reality!

Each card and note were well thought-out, and students got to spend time decorating their cards!

Students spent a week constructing these letters and gathering items!
